About Us

London Quilters is a group of quilt enthusiasts who meet at the Crossfield Centre Hall in Swiss Cottage.
The group was established over thirty years ago and currently has about 80 members ranging from beginners to professionals and encompassing both traditional and contemporary quilters.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month (except August).
At most meetings there is a speaker who is an expert in quilting or a related textile field. Twice yearly we have a sewing evening where members share their techniques and experiences. The AGM and Christmas party are held in December.
At every meeting members share their current work in "Show and Tell" and there is a raffle with quilt related prizes.
There is an extensive library of books and some videos, CDs and DVDs which members can borrow.

Meetings start at 8:00pm. The hall is open from 7:00 for tea, coffee and cake and to allow use of the library.

Membership costs £28 per annum and is due in September. If joining after March a reduced fee of £15 applies. Students, under 18's and over 90's are free. Visitors £5.

Please note: due to space constraints at Crossfield Hall it may be necessary to have a waiting list. If you are interested in visiting or joining, please contact membership@londonquilters.org.uk

Crossfield Centre is located at 8 Fairhazel Gardens, London, NW6 3SG.

Workshops

Workshops from recognised tutors are arranged several times per year. They cost £30. If spaces are available non-members may attend at the cost of £35.

Outings

Last year a group visited the American Museum in Bath. Further trips are planned.

Exhibitions

An exhibition of members' work is held every two years. We make a group quilt which is raffled for charity.
