JAN 18    Linda Seward "My Work and Inspirations" Longtime LQ member, quilter, teacher, judge, and author of the definitive The Complete Book of Patchwork, Qulting and Applique"
FEB 15     Sewing Evening members bring their own projects to enjoy sewing and chatting!
MAR 15    Patricia Archibald "A Creative Journey to the Roof of Africa" the story in words, images and quilts of Pat's inspirational climb to the top of Kilimanjaro, and the resulting award-winning quilt "From Addis to Kili: From Dawn to Dusk".
MAR 16    Patricia Archibald Workshop "Sunset Colours"   Explore colour in a more dynamic way using your sunset photos. Learn how to add a touch of pizzazz to your work to create an abstract piece full of atmosphere and colourful energy.
APR 15     London Quilters Highlights Exhibition Private View at Swiss Cottage Library 6pm to 8pm to be opened by Matthew Wright host of Five TV’s “The Wright Stuff”
APR 19     Pauline Barnes "Journey in Peru" Slides of a journey in Peru and some examples of Pauline's work inspired by these places, and textile pieces bought there.
MAY 17    Roy Dickinson "Man in a Woman's World?" The only man in the UK to successfully complete City and Guilds Parts 1 & 2 takes a light-hearted look at MAN-Made quilts old and new, around the world! Well-known for his award-winning quilts, his quilt "Infinity and Beyond" won in Art and Embellishment categories at Sandown this summer.
JUN 21    Yvonne Brown "Melting and Burning” Technique led talk on melting and burning synthetic and natural fabrics with demonstrations.  From background as Art Historian, Yvonne's interest in quilting developed, and she has been teaching regularly at Quilter's Haven in Norfolk.
JUN 22    Greta  Fitchett  Workshop -  either Textiles and Texture or Pattern on Pattern Well-known quilter, author and judge, and also teacher at several Adult Education Colleges in Derbyshire. 
JUL 19     Sewing Evening members bring their own projects to enjoy sewing and chatting!
SEP tbc    American Museum in Bath visit to “Classic American Quilts” exhibition (weekday visit)
SEP 20     Inge Hueber “Making Quilts and Journeys” combining the two passions of this award-winning quilter who shares her time between the UK and her home country of Germany.
OCT 18    Barbara Howell ”Embroiderer to Quilter” Barbara came to textiles through embroidery but now finds the two areas inextricably linked.  An award-winning embroiderer and quilter she is also a judge, teacher and popular.
OCT 19    Barbara Howell Workshop “Using your Sewing Machine for Embellishing and Quilting”
NOV 15      Julia Gahagan “It’s a Small World” Julia will be giving us a light-hearted and informative talk on her miniature quilt making with lots of small quilts to handle and view.
DEC 13       Annual General Meeting and Christmas Party

 

Meetings are held at 7.30 for 8 pm at

Crossfield Centre Halls, 8 Fairhazel Gardens, NW6 3SG

The hall is located between Fairfax Place and Goldhurst Terrace

Visitors £5 Members free (membership £28 p.a. due in September, ½ year £15 from March, students and under-18 free)
