Mystery Quilt in Four parts by Tricia Revest
(© 1997)
Inspired by an original idea from 'The Joy of Quilting' by Joan Hanson and Mary Hickey available from That Patchwork Place.
This was issued in the London Quilters Newsletters in January, April, July and October. If you have any problems, please email me at p.a.revest@qmul.ac.uk. This will make a wall hanging 45" square and uses rotary cutting and strip piecing. It can be made from either scraps, fat quarters (18" x 22") or yardage. I will indicate Light (background), Medium and Dark but of course these could be reversed. You could choose a focus fabric, such as a dark or bright patterned fabric for your dark fabric and pick other fabrics to go with this. Other possible suggestions for styles could be scrap on muslin, plain on black, plaids on cream etc.
Part 1......Lots of cutting
Part 2 .....Doing some sewing
Part 3 .....Making the blocks
Part 4 (last) ......Putting in together
