Imperial Purple to Denim Blue - Dr Susan Kay-Williams

The speaker at our October 2015 meeting was Dr Susan Kay-Williams, Chief Executive of the Royal School of Needlework based at Hampton Court Palace. She gave an extremely informative and lively talk on the history of textile dyeing, covering the period from about 6000BC to the advent of synthetic dyes.
