Linda Libby "Up to Here and Now" - 18 January 2016
Traditionally we invite one of our members to be the first speaker of the new year. On 18 January Linda Libby gave us a fascinating talk about her quilting history and showed us a wonderful selection of quilts she had made for Project Linus.
Linda has been a quilter for many years and has City &Guilds Part 1 and a BA in Textile Design & Surface Decoration. Linda was the first recipient of The Quilters’ Guild Members Bursary; she is also a member of New Horizons Textile Group, Context and Marsh Quilters and is the Project Linus representative for East London.
Here's Linda giving her talk with a fabulous red and white quilt - and who would have thought that the back of a car could look so good!
