London Quilters has a tradition of making a group quilt every two years, to coincide with the biennial exhibition. The pattern and colours are agreed upon and members make the blocks, which are then assembled, quilted and finished. The quilts are raffled to raise money for charities, often shared equally between one based in the UK and another either based abroad or whose work is carried out internationally, or between a national charity and one more locally based.
However, in a break with tradition all the proceeds from the quilt made in 2019, shown above, will go to one charity, Family Action, with more details on the Exhibition 2019 page.
