Jan Tillett 15 & 16 June 2015
Jan Tillett was the guest speaker at the meeting on 15 June. She gave a lively talk about the influences in her creative work: both her mother and grandmother sewed so there was always fabric in her house and as a result her stash includes very old fabrics. Many of her creations are made from recycled fabrics.
These pictures show Jan with a small sample of her prolific output of work. More details can be found on her website at www.jantillett.co.uk

The following day we had a workshop with Jan using soluble film, shrink polyester, fibres and a wide variety of textiles, including velvet. And these are some of the pieces produced by members of London Quilters
